The Gallery Manager > Adding a Gallery to a Page
In this section we will explain how to add the Gallery Object to a page in order to display the Photos and to edit the gallery object settings.
Adding the Gallery Object
Create a new blank page, or open an existing page. If you are not sure how to do this, refer to the SoftPage Basics Section of this help document. Click in the document where you would like the gallery to display and set the tab tool bar to Insert, click the Insert Object Icon, and choose Gallery Object.

The Gallery Object will appear in the page. It will be represented only by an icon. This icon can be resized and moved. Now double click the Gallery Icon to view and apply the settings.

Editing the Gallery Object settings
This window allows you to edit the Gallery settings. First select the Parent Folder. This is the Gallery folder (Album). (Please make sure you only select an Album from within the Gallery folder.) Select the Gallery Style from the choices supplied. If you choose a custom gallery layout style, select the Layout Template from the drop-down list. The options below, Image Date and Image Caption, allows you to specify if the item must display in the listing.

In the next tab, Gallery Style, additional options are set like the number of images to display before the system will start paging. The icon size is the size of the icons that display. Please only specify in pixels. The Album size is the size of the album icon that people would click on in order to get to the album within the album. The default background color is the color behind the album icon. The large size is the size of the full image when you click on a thumbnail from the list page, to display in full.
Click OK, to apply the settings to the object. Save and publish the page. View the page to see the results.
