 | When you need to make changes to your web site, or would like to send out a mailer or even just check your statistics, you will be required to open the SoftPage Desktop Application. This application starts with the Multi-Site Login Screen. (Below). It will have been installed by default to:
Start>Programs>SoftPage>SoftPage 2007
If this is the first time you have opened SoftPage, you will probably be face with a different screen to the one below. If so, please read Downloading & Installing SoftPage.

The Login Screen is the same of all SoftPage sites. If you have more than one site, the same SoftPage Desktop Application can be used.
If you are logging into a site, you will probably already have made a site, or have had a site made for you. Either way, you should already have a Website Address, Username and Password. If you don't have these contact your web site administrator, as you cannot continue.
The login screen allows you to enter your Website Address into the first field. This field does NOT require you to enter the "http://" part of the address. This as you can see is already entered on the left hand side of the field. Please make sure you enter the address EXACTLY as it is provided to you.
A common mistake is to add a "www." to a development URL, like "www.testsite.softpagecms.com" when it's supposed to be "testsite.softpagecms.com". When your own domain has been registered to SoftPage, it probably will be in the format "www.mydomain.com" and in this case, yes, you would enter the URL exactly like this.
Please note: There is a handy drop-down that displays a history of sites you previously logged into. Sometimes this list can get quite long (Especially for resellers). You can clear the history by clicking the "Clear History" button at the bottom of the screen.
Continue to enter the rest of your information - Username and password, and click the Enter button.
If the information is entered correctly, you will see the loading screen appear. Otherwise the system will tell you what error occurred.
The Loading Screen
This screen is a temporary screen that loads up all the scripts and system images to your temporary Internet file. These files are stored here for about an hour. This makes browsing much easier.
