Portal Manager > Adding an article

To add an article open up the "Portal Manager".

Click on "Add Article" and wait for the select pop-up box to appear.

Browse for the page you wish to add as an article and click OK.

The Article Properties dialog box will appear.

In there you change all the settings related to your article and which list it will appear in.

Article Location is automatically added as this is the path to the article. you can either preview or edit the page by clicking the two buttons next to it.

Article Title is the name of the article and the page title. Any changes done will reflect as soon as you apply the changes.

Article Author is where you can add the author of the article or the source, where the information was gathered.

Article Date is the relevant date of when the article was published or the date of the actual information.

Category. Here you can create a new category or select one from the list (if already created), if you want it to be sorted according to a certain automatic list.

Always Visible will overwrite the Visible From element and set the article as visible on the live website.

In Visible From you can make the article go live at a certain time, if you want to plan ahead for when a certain piece of news has to be live.

 On the Picture tab you can browse for an Image to be added and if you selected the correct list layout, this image will appear there.

The description field will also appear in your list if the list used/supports descriptions and could be limited with the "truncate" option on the "Article List / Portal" object.

Keywords are for SEO purposes. Adding certain words that is relevant to your article and preferrably appear in the article.

If you added a manual list, the list(s) will appear in the Manual Article List field. Select the list(s) you wish the article to appear in.
